Biological properties of Ñorynebacterium diphtheriaå in the composition of biofilm

Kharseeva G.G., Mironov A.J., Frolova J.N., Labushkina A.V.

The task of our investigation was to shidy of biological properties of typical and biofilm cultures of toxigenic strain of C. diphtheria gravis tox+ , SV"665, taken from sics by the name of L.A.Tarasewich. It was shown that biofilm culture of C. diphtheria had changes in morphologic and culturae properties (decrease in size of bacterial cells and colonies of microorganisms, R"S dissociation of colonies) which were induced by appearing of additiondl, bacterial layer – exopolysaccharide. It was established that the most efficacy in the treatment of diphtheria infection had such antibacterial drugs: vankomycin, cephatoxim, lincomicyn, kanamycin because they had decreased sensitivity to C. diphtheria in the composition of biofilm.
